Eggtimer Apogee Support
IMPORTANT ADVISORY (4/7/2021)
We have found that when activating the Eggtimer Apogee Rev D7 with the integral screw switch using a very skinny screwdriver (such as a #0 Phillips) it is possible to miss the Phillips head and accidentally short the screw against other components on the board, possibly causing an unintended firing. We recommend that you use ONLY a #2 Phillips screwdriver when using the Apogee’s screw switch, especially if you’re using the Easy Mount. In addition, we recommend that after you have tested your Apogee you cover the exposed pads on the transistor with epoxy to insulate them. Be careful not to get any on the screw switch contacts, however! Note that this issue has been resolved on the Rev D9 board.
