OK, I’m ready to buy… where’s the PayPal button?
We don’t have one… over half of our customers ask us pre-sale questions, so we like to have a conversation with you before you order so we make sure you’re getting the right products for your needs. There’s nothing more frustrating then ordering something and finding out after you start building that you needed “something else”… we want both of us to be happy!
Our order process works like this:
1) You send us an email (to sales@eggtimerrocketry.com ) telling us what you want, including your shipping address and your PayPal-linked email address.
2) If we have a question about your order, we’ll let you know right away, so we can get it right.
3) We create a PayPal invoice and send it to you.
4) You pay the invoice in PayPal, and we ship your stuff.
Note that if we are out of stock on something and it’s going to take more than a day or two to ship, we’ll let you know before we send you an invoice. We don’t like to send an invoice until we know when can ship the product… it’s not fair to take your money before we have something to send to you.
A Note on Shipping Fees:
We ship most orders via USPS, typically First Class Parcel. Eggfinder transmitters containing a GPS module are shipped via Priority Mail, as are Eggfinder LCD receivers since the weight limit for First Class is 16 oz and LCD receiver orders often exceed that. The base charge for First Class is $4, for Priority Mail it’s $10; depending on the weight, there may be extra charges. Shipments with a lithium battery will be shipped via UPS Ground, there’s a flat $10 fee for that up to 1 pound.
International orders will be quoted on an as-ordered basis. Shipments to Canada can generally go via USPS First Class parcel, typically about $25. We ship overseas via either First Class International or FedEx Economy. First Class International is typically $30-$40, FedEx is typically about $140. If you go with FedEx, you will get 100% end-to-end tracking, and it will generally get there in 3-5 business days. First Class International can take 2-4 weeks, you may or may not get any tracking once it goes outside the US, and it may end up being delivered to a Customs Post Office rather than your door. Note that if there is a duty on your shipment, you are responsible for paying it. Please do not ask us to mark the shipment as a “gift” or “low value”… we’re a reputable business and we don’t play games with US Customs.

3) Quantity and product you want to buy
We’ll cut a PayPal invoice and email it to you for your approval. You simply go into your PayPal account and select Pay This Invoice, and your Eggtimer Rocketry kit(s) will be on the way. Note that PayPal also supports one-time invoice payments via credit cards without creating a PayPal account… we recognize that some of you don’t want to create an account just for us!
If you don’t want to go the PayPal route at all, we’ll also take checks, money orders, and (if you REALLY have to…) cash. Send us an email first so we can create a PayPal invoice, and we’ll mark it paid and ship when your payment arrives and clears.
Note: Please add our email address, sales@eggtimerrocketry.com, to your “safe senders” list in your email client. We’ve seen some issues with important emails getting bounced or put into Spam folders, and we want to make sure that there are no unnecessary communication delays.
